The Cottage

Rowan Bank is a stone clad bungalow situated 5 minutes walk from the promenade. It has been fully refurbished and offers a well equipped fitted kitchen, re-equipped bathroom, large dining room/living room combined and 3 well appointed bedrooms (inset pictures below). All accommodation is provided on one floor. The downstairs garage can provide lofty accommodation for 1 car and/or a number of bikes. It can also be used to dry out muddy boots.

Kitchen:

The fully fitted kitchen includes electric cooker plus extractor fan, dish washer, microwave, fridge, toaster.

Sitting Room / Dining Area Combined:

The sitting room area comprises seating for up to 6 adults. Facilities include TV/DVD/Video combined (with basic Sky package). A digital radio/CD/mp3 player is also provided. A library of books on local subjetcs and walks can be found and a number of board games are included.

The dining area provides seating for up to 6 people. There is a serving hatch direct between the dining area and the kitchen.

 

Bedrooms: 

All 3 bedrooms have a bedside cabinet and a bedside lamp for all beds (including the bunk bed). A hair dryer and mirror is provided in each room.

Bathroom:

The re-furbished bathroom comprises a bath (with overhead shower) basin and WC.

The Garden and Patio:

The front garden is always tidy and allows the property privacy from the road. The back garden rises over 50 metres up the hill. There are excellent views of the Kent Estuary and surrounding area from the top.

Full gas central heating, plus ornamental electric heater in sitting room. Electric cooker, microwave, fridge, washing machine, dish washer.

Off road parking for 2 cars

One well behaved pet welcome (please use the bags provided. A dog basket is provided in the garage and can be brought into the house if required)

Rowan Bank is inspected annually and approved to the Cumbria Tourist and South Lakeland District Council Tourism Standards by AIA (Accommodation and Inspection Services).
